Lanes open after semi with soybeans crashes on Ohio River Bridge

MASSAC COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - All lanes of the Interstate 24 Ohio River Bridge are open after a tractor-trailer loaded with soybeans rear-ended a pickup truck.

A Ford Ranger driven by 76-year-old Sammie Flourney was pulling a small trailer that was loaded with personal belongings when he lost control and swerved into a 2004 Peterbuilt semi truck driven by 45-year-old Kenneth Decker, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

Flournoy was taken to Western Baptist Hospital for treatment of his injuries

About 100 bushels of beans spilled from the tractor-trailer.

Traffic was stopped for about two hours.

The McCracken County Sheriff's and Massac Co. Sheriff's departments worked the crash.
