Carbondale man sentenced to 20 years in prison for cocaine

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - A Carbondale man was sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to distributing crack cocaine and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

Bryant Maybell a.k.a. "B", 25, will also be on eight years supervised release and was fined $1,000.

The violations took place on August 6, 2006 and March 2, 2007, in Jackson County.

Maybell pleaded not guilty to an addition count of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and he along with two co-defendants are awaiting an August 10 jury trial on that count. Five co-defendants have already been sentenced for their involvement in the crack cocaine conspiracy.
