Area churches prepare to go to Africa to help kids

By Heartland News

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Several volunteers from area churches are leaving Friday for Africa.

They will build an orphanage and bring blankets and clothes to the region.

Four dozen volunteers from southeast Missouri want to bring a message of hope and feel a calling to help the kids in that country.

They say there are 15,000 child orphans raising other kids in Africa. The ages of the group of volunteers range from 8 to 68 years old.
