BENTON, IL (KFVS) - A Dongola man pleaded guilty to meth charges on Monday.
U.S. Attorney A. Courtney Cox says Michael V. Rushing, 38, entered the plea Monday in U.S. District Court in Benton. The Union and Jackson County Illinois Sheriff's Offices investigated the crime between March 2008 to November 2009 .
The charges carry a penalty of up to 10 years behind bars. Rushing was being held behind bars without bond. He is scheduled to be sentenced in October.
The investigation was conducted as part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods DRAGUN Team Initiative.
