BENTON, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested five people on meth charges after a weekend investigation in Benton.

Police say investigators served a search warrant early Sunday to the suspects and found that the suspects were apparently manufacturing meth.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says Jeremya Gray, 41, Travis Moit, 29, and Velma Barnett, 26, have been charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and child endangerment.  Gray and Moit were in jail on $100,000 bond each.  Barnett's bond was set at $50,000.

Police arrested Lavanna Michelle Radica, 31, of Scott City and Larry Miller, 46, of Marquand. Walter says police found bottles of mixed chemicals and a substance that tested positive for meth and other drugs on Sunday.  Radica's bond was set at $25,000.  Miller's bond was set at $5000.

Radica was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Miller was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

All suspects were being held in the Scott Co. Jail.
