JOHNSTON CITY, IL (KFVS) - According to Ameren, all power has now been restored to the Johnston City area.

Sunday night the mayor said at least 70 percent of the city was without electricity due to heavy storms moving through the area.

Phone service was also cut at one point but was quickly restored. Sunday an 8 p.m. curfew was in place as crews worked to try to repair the damage.
