Mo. Gov. makes stop at Dexter auto manufacturing plant

By Heartland News

DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - Mo. Gov. Jay Nixon made an early stop Wednesday morning in Dexter to support the Show-Me-State's manufacturing industry.

Nixon stopped by the Paurecia Plant calling on lawmakers to agree to pass the Missouri Automotive Manufacturing Act.

Nixon says he hopes this act will save thousands of existing auto manufacturing jobs in the state.

Missouri produces $4 billion a year in the industry and 18 percent of the state's exports.
