An Amber Alert has been issued for a four-year-old boy from Thomsponville.  Illinois State Police say he was taken by his non-custodial mother this afternoon and is believed to be headed to Johnston City.

Six firefighters got caught up in an emergency of their own after their truck flipped over en route to a call early yesterday morning.  Two were thrown from the truck.  The driver was seriously injured.
