PIEDMONT, MO (KFVS) - A Georgia man was killed Saturday night in a crash in Wayne County.

According to Piedmont Police Chief Richard Sanders, 50-year-old Mark Swaim was driving on East Fir St. in town around 7:30 Saturday night when he hit a power pole and rolled over.

Swaim was partially ejected through the passenger side of the SUV.

Swaim was driving a 1998 Ford explorer.

Chief Sanders says speed was a contributing factor in this deadly crash.
