FARMINGTON, MO (KFVS) - A man is killed in a motorcycle wreck near Farmington Saturday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, it happened at 7:45 on Highway 67 north of Route 32.

Troopers say 49-year-old Toney Macklin of French Village, MO was traveling northbound on Highway 67 at a high rate of speed.

That's when investigators say Macklin failed to negotiate a curve to the right, and lost control of the bike.

Macklin was thrown from the bike into the median barrier cable. He was pronounced dead just before 8:00 p.m. by the St. Francois county coroner.
