CAPE GIRARDEAU COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Free air conditioners are being given out in Cape Girardeau.
Thursday morning, Ameren UE paired up with The Salvation Army to help out the community by providing air conditioning units to local elderly that are in need.
While supplies last, Ameren UE customers age 60 and older can bring in their current Ameren UE bill and a doctor's note to receive a free unit.
If you think you or a family member might qualify for an air conditioning unit, call the Salvation Army or go to the Southeast Missouri Area Agency on Aging or the Cape Girardeau Health Department for more information.
