Coroner's jury finds unjustified, justified homicides in deaths of 2 men

IRONTON, MO (KFVS) - A coroner's jury returned two verdicts Wednesday in the deaths of two men outside a Town and Country Supermarket on June 11.

Six Iron County residents found that the death of Carl M. Jones was a homicide and that it was not justified.  The jury also found that the death of Thomas E. Hennessey, Jr. was a justifiable homicide.

Jones was shot and killed by Hennessey, Jr. in the parking lot of Town and Country Supermarket in Ironton on June 11.

Hennessey, Jr. was shot and killed by an Ironton Police Officer after Hennessey's vehicle struck the officer's vehicle.
