Neighbors Helping Neighbors

(Jackson, MO)--People in communities across the Heartland are struggling to piece their lives back together.

In Jackson, where several homes were destroyed and damaged, people say the only thing that's keeping them going is their community's loyal support towards them.

Paul Wilson and his wife Calie moved into their house just a week ago. That was one of the houses in the Bent Creek Subdivision that was heavily damaged.

Picking up the pieces out of the rubble Paul told Heartland News he couldn't belive how many strangers and neighbors he hadn't even met yet stopped by to let them know they were there if needed.

Paul says that's exactly the kind of people he'd like to have as neighbors... and says he plans on rebuilding his house in the very same spot as soon as he can.
