HAYTI HEIGHTS, MO (KFVS) - A 16-year-old teenager from Hayti Heights faces charges of robbery in the first degree and armed criminal action in two separate incidents.
Dewayne Woods is accused of assaulting and stealing $250 from an 89-year-old man on June 5 around the area of S. Martin Luther King Dr. in Hayti Heights, according to Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Grenwell.
After following up on a separate robbery on May 23, this one at gunpoint, police arrested Woods as a suspect in the crimes.
Woods will be tried as an adult and was placed in the Pemiscot County Justice Center with bond set at $100,000.
Woods will be arraigned by Judge Byron Luber on Thursday.
