SENATH, MO (KFVS/KAIT) - Three firefighters were injured battling a blaze at the Ramey Super Market in downtown Senath Wednesday evening.

According to the Senath fire Department, three firefighters from Kennett were taken to the hospital.

Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder says the Ramey Super Markets at 125 East Commercial Street started burning about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Fire crews on the scene say the fire may have started in the back of the building due to an electrical issue.

The fire chief says a firewall in the back of the store prevented the fire from spreading and taking out the entire block.

As it stands the grocery store is a total loss.

It was the only grocery store in town.

Kennett and Senath fire departments fought the fire.
