Mother, son sentenced to prison on meth charges

BENTON, IL (KFVS) - A mother and son were sentenced in Benton, Illinois after pleading guilty to conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Becky Morgan, 48, of Carterville and Cory Stearns, 23, of Pomona both pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.

Morgan was sentenced to more than 11 years in prison, five years supervised released and a fine of $500.  Her son was sentenced to nearly six years in prison, five years supervised released, and $500 fine.

The conspiracy happened in Jackson, Union, and Williamson counties between August 2008 and October 2008.
