Areas closed from flooding at Land Between the Lakes

Below is information from the USDA Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area.

Currently, the lake level is 367.2 feet. By Thursday, it is predicted to recede to 363 feet. (Summer pool is 359 feet.) This level still impacts several areas at LBL, including boat ramps, camping areas, trails, and facilities.

The U.S. Coast Guard has lifted the Safety Zone for both Kentucky and Barkley lakes.

  • ALL Boat Ramps except Grays Landing, Twin Lakes South, Nickell Branch, & Cravens Bay – Closed
  • Backcountry Areas – All may be impacted in some way
  • Bacon Creek – Closed
  • Bards Dam – Boat Ramp Closed
  • Birmingham Ferry – Closed
  • Boswell Landing – Boat Ramp Closed--Bottom level Closed to camping--Upper level Open
  • Canal Loop Trail – Closed
  • Colson Hollow – Closed--Cemetery will be cut off
  • Craven's Bay – Closed to camping—Boat Ramp Open
  • Davenport – Road 126 Closed
  • Demumbers – Closed
  • Devil's Elbow – Closed
  • Eddyville Ferry – Closed
  • Energy Lake – Energy Dam Closed--Boat Ramp Closed -- Beaches Closed -- No canoe service —MUST USE Rd 134 from 68/80 to Access Campground—3 campsites Closed
  • Fenton – Open to camping (sites 28/29 Closed) -- Boat Ramp & Dock Closed

  • Jones Creek – Closed--including Boat Ramp
  • Kuttawa Landing – Closed
  • Moss Creek – Closed
  • Neville Bay – Closed
  • North/South Trail – Closed for hiking and biking from GPVC North
  • Piney – Beach Closed; Trails Closed; Boat Ramps Closed; 98 sites Closed in various loops Power will be shut off power at main breakers as needed. Sewage treatment plant Shut Down.  All shower buildings Closed except E7
