Tractor pulls utility pole down, traffic rerouted in Paducah, KY

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Traffic was rerouted for more than four hours after tractor a utility pole was pulled down Friday morning.

William Burgess, 62, was driving a tractor when it got tangled in wires stretched across the road and pulled the pole down, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department.

When the pole snapped, it flew through the back glass of another tractor following Burgess.

Josh Goodwin, 27, was driving the second tractor.  He was not injured.

Crews from Jackson Purchase Power and Comcast Cable worked to fix the damage.  The road was reopened around 12:30 p.m. Friday.
