MISSOURI (KFVS) - Spring turkey season starts Monday in Missouri.
Shooting hours begin 30 minutes before sunrise until 1 p.m.
All turkeys must be tagged immediately and checked by 10 p.m. on the day taken.
While population is down in some parts of the state, Missouri still leads the nation in turkey numbers.
The cold, wet conditions during nesting and early brooding for the past several years has limited wild turkey reproduction.
