MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) - A Marion man was sentenced on April 8 to a little more than 16 years in prison for robbing a bank in Murphysboro.
Frederick G. Goosby, 37, was also ordered to pay a $100 assessment, $3,700 in restitution to the First National Bank and Trust and he was sentenced to three years supervised release.
The robbery happened on August 3, 2009.
Goosby was on supervised release for drug charges at the time of the robbery. The supervised release was canceled and he was ordered to serve 44 months in prison consecutively with the 16 years for the bank robbery.
