(Jackson, MO)--A pre-trial hearing was held for Jerry Self Jr. in a Cape Girardeau County courtroom on Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with 14-counts of 2nd Degree Assault.

Prosecutors say Self Jr. threw a 5-gallon can of gasoline into a bonfire that had been built as part of a party at a Cape Girardeau home on January 17th.

At the pre-trial hearing, all 14-victims testified about what happened that night. All say they were burned and many still have scars. Most of the victims are teenagers.

The victims say they rolled in snow on the ground to put themselves out.

None of the victims saw Self Jr. throw the gas can into the bonfire.

Prosecutors say that testimony will come from other witnesses.
