Chop Shop Investigation

(Miner, MO)--A salvage yard near Miner, Missoui is the focus of an investigation involving stolen cars, hot parts, and a city official.

State and local police are combing every inch of a junkyard in New Madrid County looking for evidence of a chop-shop.

So far, they've found parts of eight cars stolen from the St. Louis area.

Investigators are now trying to figure out if they were stripped-down so individual parts could be sold.

All this is happening at Brock's salvage yard, owned by Tom Brock, who is also an Alderman in the City of Miner.

Investigators say they expect to make at least one arrest.

Brock is said to be cooperating with authorities.
