Crime Takes a Bite out of Drug Dog
By: Wes Wallace

When officers from the Wayne County Sheriff's Department attempted to arrest a South Creek man on drug charges, they were attacked by a pit bull. The dog also leashed out at the officers long time drug dog, Tango.

To protect themselves and their canine friend, the officers fired on the pit bull, but were hit themselves by ricocheting bullets. Luckily neither Tango nor the officers were seriously injured.

Two suspects remain on the loose, but the Wayne County Sheriff's Department expects to make several arrests very soon.
