(Dongola, IL)--An analyzing firm from Indianapolis, Indiana may help determine whether a Heartland school remains closed, or finally opens for classes.

EMSL Analyzing concluded eight rooms, one hallway and the old gym have traces of black mold spores in the Dongola School.   But according EMSL, the results are inconclusive.  That's because, each student or teacher will react differently to the spores.
This forces leaders of the Dongola school district to make a decision.  They have been told by the Environmental Protection Agency, the Occupational Health and Safety Administration and the Illinois Department of Public Health to open the school.  But so far, the school leaders continue to look for help.  They have contacted the Illinois Department of Labor and the state's Department of Commerce and Community Affairs.  Those results will be presented at a board meeting Thursday night.   More than fifteen students and two teachers developed a rash January 7th while at the school.  Since then, the school has been closed for the almost three weeks.
