As a Jackson native, Tyler Profilet grew up watching KFVS12 and is excited to join the Heartland News team.  His first appearance on KFVS12 was for a Heartland Kids segment when he was in preschool.

Tyler wanted to work in television after meeting Bob Costas when he was seven years old.  He got his first break behind the microphone helping call Jackson basketball games on the radio his senior year.  When he wasn't announcing, he was out on the field playing football and baseball for the Indians.

After high school, Tyler attended the University of Missouri and graduated Cum Laude from the Missouri School of Journalism.  While in Columbia, Tyler worked for KOMU-TV as a fill-in sports anchor and reporter. He also worked as a sideline reporter for ESPNU.

After graduation, Tyler worked as a play-by-play announcer for the University of Notre Dame before moving to New York City.  After a short stint in the Big Apple, he decided to leave the bright lights and return home to the Heartland.  He's happy to be home and a thousand miles away from Mets fans!

In his free time, Tyler enjoys running, watching the Cardinals, and following his Missouri Tigers.  If you ever see him out, please say hello and introduce yourself.  Tyler thinks everyone has a story, so feel free to email yours!
