HURST, IL (KFVS) - Authorities in southern Illinois need your help to finding 28-year-old Lonnie Lee McFarland Jr. is wanted for an early May home invasion and burglary in Hurst.
Two suspects are already behind bars, 23-year-old Lucas Lee Holland and 21-year-old Eric Lee Holland.
Nearly a month has past and Fred Zielke says his arms are a daily reminder of the May morning he thought could be his last.
"It's three o'clock in the morning and I'm on my couch and I'm sleep and you have three people on top of you," Zielke said.
Zielke says the suspects came through his unlocked front door with their faces covered. The Williamson County Sheriff's Office says the suspects had watched Zielke for about an hour prior. Zielke says they then duck taped his arms.
"One guy was watching me the other guys just ransacked my house," Zielke said.
The suspects moved through Zielke's home. He was left hopelessly sitting on the couch with duck tape on his arms. However, before the suspects left, they moved him one more time.
"They sat me in that chair and duck taped me. I thought man here comes the head shot," Zielke said.
Zielke says in the end no guns were pulled. Instead, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office says the suspects spent nearly two hours inside this home and took hundreds of dollars worth of coins.
"Half dollars, liberties and dimes, my mother was coin collector and she left them to me as part of her estate," Zielke said.
Zielke tells Heartland News once he realized the suspects were gone, he started to wiggle out of the duck tape. It took some 30 minutes for him to break free. That is when he tried to call for help, but the phone was dead.
"This is the one that they cut," Zielke said as he showed a new phone line.
Just days ago Williamson County deputies arrested two Lucas Holland and Eric Holland. Both are at Williamson County Jail each on a half million-dollar bond. Meanwhile McFarland, who is from Cambria, is still on the run.
"I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they catch the third guy," Zielke added.
