SIUC police look for suspect in "suspicious incident"

CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Police with the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Department of Public Safety ask people to be on the lookout for a man in connection with a suspicious incident.
The suspect is described as a white male, mid 30's, 6'2" to 6'4", clean shaven, with gelled, short brown hair.  
At the time of the incident the suspect was believed to wearing a green, plaid button-down shirt.      
According to officials, a female resident of Southern Hills Apartments reported to them that she had just returned to her room around 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, when she heard a knock at the door.   
A man outside said he was having car problems and asked if he could borrow her phone.
The man then entered the apartment asking to use the bathroom while the women retrieved the phone and gave hime permission.
After leaving the bathroom, the man began looking and walking around the apartment, even after he was told not to, police said.
The suspect then used the woman's phone one more time unable to reach the other party and left the apartment.
