Deputy: teen fires shot at home, mad mom was late picking him up from school

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Mississippi County teen faces assault charges after police say he shot a gun in his family's home because his mother was late picking him up from school.
Investigators say 17-year-old Dillion Murphy's mother told him he would have to leave the house after he told her he was quitting school.
According to police, Murphy admits to firing a round into a wall of the home out of anger.
Police say there were Murphy's two juvenile sisters were in the home when Murphy fired the shot and that the gun Murphy used was apaprently stolen from an Alexander County deputy.
Dillion Murphy faces two counts of 1st degree assault, one count of armed criminal action, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of unlawful use of a weapon, and receiving stolen property.
