Cape man pleads guilty to bank robbery

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau man pleaded guilty Friday to robbing a bank in Charleston.
Isiah Mathis, 26, admitted to robbing the Citizen's Bank in Charleston on February 13, 2009.
Mathis admitted to giving the teller a bag with a note stating "Fill the bag up with money," according to Michael W. Reap, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri.
The teller put $3,275 cash in the bag and Mathis left on a bicycle.
Officers found Mathis in a house nearby with the cash a short time later.
His sentencing is set for July 17, 2009.
