Four computers seized after threats to President Obama, police, school

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) - Federal and local authorities are investigating an Internet threat against President Barack Obama, as well as others against the police and a school in Poplar Bluff.

The investigation was prompted by four posts Tuesday night on the Internet message board Topix from someone in the southeast Missouri town.

They included a threat to kill Obama, who spoke the next day at a town hall meeting in the St. Louis suburb of Arnold.

The last post threatened to detonate bombs Wednesday in the police station, courthouse and a Catholic school. Security sweeps revealed no devices.

No suspects have been arrested.
