PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) - A western Kentucky elementary school teacher has been suspended and her husband arrested following an altercation involving a shotgun on school grounds.

Police in Paducah say a group of children were playing at McNabb Elementary School Saturday evening when a boy ran home after being tackled in a football game.

The Paducah Sun reports that the boy's father, Wallace O. McCoy Sr., went to the playground and chased several children in his truck. Police say McCoy fought with two adults and pointed a shotgun at them.

McCoy's wife, Kem A. Brown-McCoy, also drove to the school and fought with another adult.

Police charged Wallace McCoy Sr. with wanton endangerment and possession of a weapon on school property; Kem Brown-McCoy was charged with assault. Brown-McCoy is a first-grade teacher at McNabb.
