ST. MARY, MO (KFVS) - The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that St. Louis County police found a corpse on some property in St. Mary.
The cause of death has not been determined.
Police searched the property Thursday for evidence.
The property currently belongs to a business out of Ste. Genevieve but neighbors say before that a local man lived there for several years, before the trailer he lived in burned down.
They say they spotted him pointing out areas of the property to investigators but police would not comment on who he is.
Investigators also brought in a backhoe to dig the property, and neighbors who shimmied up trees to get a better look, say they spotted police taking photographs inside a deep hole.
The search appeared to be releated to an ongoing probe into allegations of drug trafficking by an outlaw motorcycle gang known as the Invaders of which several members were indicted in federal court on distributing marijuana charges, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
