Creamy Pumpkin Soup

"Tis the season to be jolly, and since we have so many special get-togethers during the holiday season, only the very best eats will do! These recipes are my way of wishing you all the best now and well into the new year. Enjoy!"
  • 1 can (29 oz.) solid pack pumpkin
  • 1 can (14 oz.) ready to use chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups (1 pint) half & half
In a large saucepan combine all ingredients except the half & half, mix well. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat to low and stir in the half & half until well blended. Cover and simmer until heated through. Serve immediately.
