Two men arrested, charged after beating sends two to hospital

JACKSON COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Two Murphysboro men face charges after police say they severely beat two other men Wednesday night.

Travis A. Bramlett, 22, and Joshua M. Peeler, 26, face face home invasion, criminal sexual assault, mob action, and aggravated battery charges in Jackson County.

According to court documents, Peeler and Bramlett are accused of breaking into a home at 1169 West Harrison Road in rural Murphysboro and badly beating two men inside.

The men are also accused of using an object to sodomize a man.  His injuries are so severe he was airlifted to St. Louis.

The other man is in the St. Joseph's Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
