Police say children witnessed a deadly double shooting

Paducah, KY (KFVS) -- Police say an argument between a man and a woman turned violent Friday afternoon.

It happened on Paducah's north side at 26th and Mildred streets.

Investigators say Keith Byron Driver and Nicole Thomas were in a car arguing when witnesses say Driver pulled out a gun and shot Thomas several times.

Witnesses say Thomas' four children were in the car at the time of the shooting.

Witnesses told police after the shooting, Driver got out of the car and started walking down Mildred Street to H.C. Mathis drive.  They say about a half block from the intersection Driver shot himself.

Paramedics worked on both Driver and Thomas but they died at Western Baptist Hospital

Social Service agents are helping the four children.
