GRAVES COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Police say a teacher and coach in western Kentucky has been charged with burglary.

A camera set up at a southern Graves County home shows 35-year-old James B. Forthman Jr. going inside.

An arrest report says it appears that Forthman forced his way through a side door Monday in an unsuccessful attempt to find pain pills. He also is accused of burglarizing the home twice in March and most recently on April 13th.

Forthman's attorney, Dennis Null, said Wednesday that it was a "devastating" situation for his client, who resigned from his position as a physical education teacher and girls basketball coach at Graves County High School.

Null said Forthman's bond was reduced at his arraignment on the condition that he seek treatment for his addition. He said Forthman wants others "to learn from his mistake."
