Overnight shooting leaves woman injured - two men arrested

ELLSINORE, MO - A woman is in stable condition after being shot in the stomach early Tuesday morning.
The Carter County Sheriff's Department says the shooting happened around midnight. It took place on Highway 21 near Ellsinore, across from Stucker's sawmill.
Police arrested John Moss, 55, faces Class C felony second degree assaultl charge.
Michael Deshazo Jr., 35, faces a Class D felony of fraudulently attempting to obtain a controlled substance.
The sheriff's department recovered a .22 caliber rifle which Carter County Sheriff Tommy Adams says was used.
Sheriff Adamas also found the remains of two cell phones that John Moss had allegedly shot in the home prior to the shooting of his wife.

John's wife, Regina Moss, is in stable condition at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center after surgery.
