CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) - Carbondale Police investigate an armed robbery that happened in the middle of an alleged drug deal.
Officers say it happened at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in a vehicle at the 500 block of Graham Street. The victim of the alleged armed robbery and the suspect were involved in a drug transaction when police say the suspect pulled out a handgun and demanded cash or property.
Police say the suspect only identified himself as "Rico." The suspect is described as a black male in his 20's. He's approximately 5'11" tall and 280 lbs. At the time of the alleged robbery, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black skull cap, black jeans and black T-shirt. Police say he also has tattoos on his left arm.
