As a lifelong resident of the Heartland, Paul Keener grew up watching KFVS12. He remembers well the days of only three channels, but in his home, only KFVS12 was reliable. Now, in addition to KFVS12, he's responsible for marketing the Heartland's CW (WQWQ-TV), KFVS12.com, the StormTeam Weather Network, and the bouquet of our new media platforms including the MyKFVS mobile site, Live OnLine desktop application, our cNews user generated content service, and others.
Paul attended Southeast Missouri State University, graduating in 1982 with a major in Mass Communication and Management. He began with KFVS12 in his senior year at Southeast as a part-time teleprompter operator. Since then he has been a Production Technician, Newscast Director, Studio Supervisor, Production Supervisor, and Promotion Manager. He was named Director Of Marketing in 1999.
Currently, he serves on the CBS Network Promotion Caucus, the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce board of directors, and is a member of the Tri-State Ad Club. He has previously served on the SEMO Mass Comm Professional Advisory Council and the Raycom Media Marketing Advisory Board. Paul is a member of Old St. Vincent's Church in downtown Cape Girardeau.
