More Than 8000 Gather for Rally with Gov. Palin
By: Heartland News

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - It's been a busy day in Cape Girardeau as thousands of people gathered at the Show Me Center for the McCain-Palin Road to Victory rally.

Governor Palin challenged her supporters to get out the vote and thanked them for showing up today in huge numbers.

About 7800 people packed inside the Show Me Center.  Then about about 800 people went into the overflow section and watched the rally on a big screen.

They then got special treatment as Governor Palin greeted those people afterward, shaking hands, and thanking them for coming.

Heartland News brings you complete coverage of Governor Palin's visit. Reporter Crystal Britt and Photographer Don Frazier attended the event, only carrying a small camcorder, bringing you a unique look at what it's like to be a spectator in the crowd.  They waited in line for three hours like everyone else, and sat in the stands...showing us the sights and sounds from the supporters' perspective.
