Four Teens Charged with Property Damage at Community Building
By: Heartland News
BENTON, Mo. - Four teenagers were due to appear in Scott County's juvenile court Thursday morning.
The four face charges of property damage connected to vandalism at the Benton Community Building.
Sheriff Rick Walter says the teens broke into the building back in April and caused more than $37,000 in damage.
Walter says they kicked over a water fountain, breaking the water line and causing water to spray onto the gym floor.
The water leak was not discovered for three days by that time the water had soaked through the floor and filled the basement of the building.
