CINCINNATI (AP) - The Bengals have waived fullback Chris Pressley, who was sidelined the entire season by a knee injury. Pressley went on the physically unable to perform list because of a knee injury before training camp began. He recently was cleared to resume practice on a roster exemption, which expired Tuesday.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - James Young scored 17 of his 21 points in the first half and Kentucky used solid defense to hand Boise State its first loss, 70-55 Tuesday night. Outrebounded by 15 in losing to Baylor last Friday, the Wildcats bounced back by dominating the Broncos 43-27 on the glass.
NEW YORK (AP) - Nick Spaling and Rich Clune scored first-period goals, and seldom-used backup Carter Hutton made 28 saves as the Nashville Predators snapped a five-game losing streak by beating the New York Rangers 4-1 Tuesday night. Hutton made his first start since Nov. 10.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have re-signed offensive lineman Kevin Matthews and have released tight end Visanthe Shiancoe. Both moves were announced Tuesday. The Titans had waived Matthews on Saturday when they promoted wide receiver Michael Preston from the practice squad. Matthews played 14 games and made two starts for the Titans in 2012.
