CINCINNATI (AP) - The Reds plan to transfer right-hander Homer Bailey to the 60-day disabled list Tuesday, ending his chances of pitching again this season. Bailey hurt his right elbow and went on the 15-day disabled list Aug. 16. The Reds initially expected to have him back in September.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Dominique Brown's 15-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and Gerald Christian's 10-yard TD catch late in the fourth followed Louisville's big defensive performance that helped beat Miami 31-13 Monday night. The victory provided a successful Atlantic Coast Conference debut for the Cardinals and to Bobby Petrino's second coaching stint at the school.

CINCINNATI (AP) - Receiver Marvin Jones walked through the Bengals' locker room on Monday still wearing that protective white boot on his left foot. He's one of the few casualties of a favorable training camp. Jones broke a bone in his foot but will miss only the first few weeks of the season.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Veteran kicker Ryan Succop has agreed to a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans who chose to go with experience rather than an undrafted rookie. Agent Joel Turner said Monday that Succop is happy with a "very good opportunity in a fine organization."
