CINCINNATI (AP) - Travis Wood pitched six innings of two-hit ball against his former team for his first win in two months, leading the Chicago Cubs to a 3-0 victory over Johnny Cueto and the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. Arismendy Alcantara hit a two-run shot and Anthony Rizzo connected for his 30th homer for the Cubs.

CINCINNATI (AP) - The Bengals waived second-year linebacker J.K. Schaffer as part of their moves to get down to the 75-man roster limit Tuesday. Schaffer suffered a concussion during the second preseason game. If he clears waivers, he'll revert to the Bengals' injured reserve list.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky defensive ends Alvin "Bud" Dupree and Za'Darius Smith could have tried to cash in on impressive junior seasons and entered the NFL draft. Both ultimately decided they had to more work to do with a Wildcats defense that can use their pass-rushing skills. Smith and Dupree are back for their senior seasons.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have signed quarterback Dominique Davis to the roster, giving them depth for their preseason finale Thursday night at a position where Jake Locker is expected to play little and backup Charlie Whitehurst still is nursing a sore right pinkie. The Titans announced the move Tuesday.
