FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes says she's not Barack Obama in her latest ad, seeking to distance herself from the president. Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell has responded that his challenger Grimes was a delegate for Obama at the 2012 Democratic National Convention and supports several of the president's policies.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Business organizations in Louisville and southern Indiana are pushing to lure more soldiers who are leaving the military to either move to the area or stay after being discharged from Fort Knox. The groups founded the Where Opportunity Knox initiative aimed at creating a pipeline for veterans who are looking for a post-military place to live and work.

DANVILLE, Va. (AP) - America's remaining tobacco growers will be totally exposed to the fiercely competitor global tobacco market when the last buyout checks go out next month. For years, tobacco farmers were compensated under a quota system that guaranteed minimum prices for their crops.

DANVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Organizers want to open a community restaurant in central Kentucky that offers home-cooked meals and a mission. Grace Cafe will be a nonprofit and will allow customers to pay what they can, one of 35 such restaurants that have opened in the nation.
