BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A three vehicle crash in Butler County leaves a local woman dead and another woman in the hospital.
The crash happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. Monday about six miles south of Poplar Bluff.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, 42-year-old Elizabeth Atkins of Harviell was southbound on Highway 67 when she stopped to make a left turn.
This is when another vehicle rear ended her car. The force of the impact pushed Atkins' car into the northbound lanes where she was broad sided by another vehicle.
The crash killed Atkins. A helicopter flew the driver of the third vehicle, 39-year-old Tina Garrett of Doniphan, to a Cape Girardeau hospital with moderate injuries.

Contestants from all 50 states and territories of the Unites States went heel to heel on stage at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Miss Connecticut, Erin Brady, ended up walking away with the grand title of Miss USA, but it was Miss Utah who really stood out from the rest of the competitors.
