Burglary and attempted burglary of two McCracken County churches

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A burglary and an attempted burglary of two different churches were reported in McCracken County on Wednesday morning.

When Brenda Jones arrived to McKendree United Methodist Church,2860 McKendree Church Road, she discovered someone had forced their way in.

Upon further investigation, Jones discovered severe damage throughout the church and several items, including televisions and cash, missing from the church.  

An attempted burglary at Spring Bayou Baptist Church, 11205 Woodville Road, was also reported. Entry was not gained to the church, but there was damage to a glass door which activated an audible alarm.

Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to call the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, or Crimestoppers at 270-443-TELL. Information leading to the arrest and/or conviction may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
