SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - The Sikeston Department of Public Safety tells Heartland News 17-year-old Brianna Branson is charged with the murder of an 18-year-old woman after she allegedly hit her with a car.
Someone called police at 5:50 a.m. Saturday to the street in front of 908 Westview Road in Sikeston where a pedestrian had been hit by a pickup truck, according to Sgt. Jim McMillen with Sikeston Department of Public Safety.
When officers arrived, McMillen says there was an 18-year-old lying dead in the street.
Investigators took the 17-year-old female driver down to the station for questioning. McMillen says Branson now faces murder charges.
Crime scene investigators processed the scene. Authorities are not releasing the names of the victim at this time.
