LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Former University of Kentucky point guard Michael Porter is writing a book about his time with the Wildcats.
Porter skipped his senior year this season to take a job and support his wife and young daughter. Porter says the book will focus on his trials and how his faith helped him get through what confronted him.
The book does not yet have a title.
After playing his freshman year for Tubby Smith, the coach who recruited him to Kentucky, Porter spent his sophomore and junior years under the coaching of Billy Gillispie.
Porter says the book will be positive in tone.
