HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) - Six people are injured after a near head-on crash two miles north of Harrisburg, IL Sunday night.
Michael L. Fowler, 47, of McKenzie, Tennessee was driving northbound on IL 34 in a 1998 GMC truck when he crossed the center line and hit a 2000 BMW SUV, driven by Ladonna K. Field, 42, of Galatia, IL about 5:30 Sunday night, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Office.
The crash shut down traffic on Hwy 34 North for more than five hours Sunday night.
Fowler and Field sustained major injuries. Four juveniles were injured, two with minor injuries, and at least one with major injuries.
Road construction near the scene of the crash was not a cause of the wreck, according to the Saline County Sheriff's Office.
