MAYFIELD, KY (KFVS) - A suspect wanted for attempted murder in western Kentucky was arrested late Friday afternoon, according to a dispatcher at the Graves County Sheriff's Department.
Authorities found Bobby D. Povlick walking along U.S. Highway 1241, after someone phoned to say they thought they had seen him. Povlick initially denied he was the one they were looking for, but according to the dispatcher, he was arrested after deputies noticed two gold teeth in his mouth that matched their suspect description.
Authorities believe Povlick shot a man in the arm with a handgun just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday. The shooting occurred at a home near Fancy Farm, said Graves County Chief Deputy DeWayne Redmon.
Redmon also said drug-related charges are pending against the shooting victim, Thomas M. Haeffner of rural Fancy Farm. Haeffner, 25, faces charges of trafficking in marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators seized 1.09 lbs. of marijuana, a small amount of cash and a digital set of scales during the investigation, Redmon said.
