During a news conference Tuesday afternoon, the Union County States Attorney said federal, state and local law enforcement made the arrested 15 people from across the county for burglary, theft, stolen firearms, and money laundering among other charges.
Officials say these charges come from home, business and church break-ins in Anna, Jonesboro, Cobden, Dongola, Ware and Wolf Lake.
"This investigation began with one stolen ATV and expanded to include burglary of homes churches and businesses throughout Union County as well as neighboring counties," said Union County State's Attorney Tyler Edmonds.
The arrests come from the newly formed Federal and State Trafficking Enforcement Network or FASTEN aimed at cracking down on illegal firearms trafficking.
